THREAD-JACKING: AOK by me for all public posts.
FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: I would prefer no fourth-walling or "hey you're from that movie", but "hey you look like that actress" is totally fine. With regards to Nat's personal future and canonnates with spoilers, I don't mind those if/when they come up!
BACKTAGGING: Always and forever, but if something runs a little too long I'll try to reach out to talk it to an end.
AVOIDED TOPICS: Nothing that would come up on the Barge, I don't think. I'm okay with exploring a wide variety of subject matter, but if you're not sure there's never harm in asking.
PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: She

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
CURRENT CANON POINT: Just before AoU, so late April 2015.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Natasha is about 5'3" but tends to give the impression of being taller once she isn't standing in front of you anymore. Her hair is loosely curly, falling just below her shoulders when straightened. She has more than a few scars, but most are barely noticeable, the only exceptions being a round quarter-sized scar on her left front shoulder, just below the collar bone, and a messier 3" spread on her lower left front torso just above her hipbone with a larger scar behind it. Both are recognizable as bullet wounds, to those who'd know. Her clothing tends to be tastefully casual--designer jeans, tailored leather jackets, silk tees, but she seems to be equally comfortable in yoga pants and trainers. She also has her "work clothes": a tactical jumpsuit with kevlar fibers and multiple weapons including a hidden grappling line/garrotte in the belt and compact tasers built into the back of the hand. When she moves, it's graceful and fluid; she moves like a dancer, or a fighter. She tends to lounge more than she stands or sits, but there's always a hint of restrained motion, like she's always ready to move. Her English is perfect, with no noticeable accent; the same goes for her Russian, her French, and her Latin. Facial expressions are almost always controlled; if she looks amused, it's because she wants you to see it, or she doesn't care if you do.
DEMEANOR: When it comes to her moods, you see what Natasha wants you to see. That isn't to say she's never genuine, because often what's showing on her face is exactly what she's feeling: amusement, irritation, contemplation. But she is very skilled at acting, and so for those who get to know her, or know people like her, you might get the sense that there's something else going on below the surface. In general, her attitude towards the Barge and its occupants tends to look like tolerant amusement. When she focuses on one person, though, it's a very intense sort of focus.
ABILITIES: Natasha is still just human, for all that she's a ridiculously talented one that can find a dozen ways to kill you faster than most people sneeze. She has surprising agility and strength, though not superhuman levels--she's just very strong/fast for her height/build. She's well-practiced in multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat and is an Olympic-level gymnast as well as a trained ballerina; a skilled markswoman with a variety of weapons and able to use pretty much anything that fires projectiles, she's capable of piloting multiple vehicles, and is well-versed in arts of subterfuge, psychological manipulation, and seduction. She's also fluent in at least seven languages (French, Italian, Russian, Latin, English, Mandarin, Arabic, and conversational in several more), and capable of hacking modern-Earth-level computer systems. So you know, pretty much what any truly excellent superspy who's earned a nickname like Black Widow is capable of.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Evidence of previous gunshot wounds and multiple broken bones will show up on x-rays and exams; no allergies or intolerances to medication or treatment.
CABIN INFORMATION: The outer door of Natasha's room is sleek metal, looking like something you'd find in a futuristic bunker. Or Avengers Tower. The interior, however, is a bright and sunny-looking farmhouse bedroom, with a double bed covered in a handmade patchwork quilt and a window that apparently overlooks the green fields of a working farm, though on closer inspection the window is fake and the scene just a painting. For those who have seen Age of Ultron, it's the room of the farmhouse where she and Bruce talk.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Very few and far between, and not likely to tell you if you do manage to hit a nerve. Offense is more likely to come from the way you say a thing than the subject matter itself.
IC PERMISSIONS:
MENTAL: Natasha will be resistant to emotional or psychological manipulation and has very good mental shields, but I'm not opposed to attempts at telepathy or control. Just let me know so we can work out what your character will see.
MIMICRY: Sure, as long as you run it by me first!
VIOLENCE: Absolutely. Though Natasha doesn't fight fair 9.5 times out of ten, and is more likely to try and find another way around a fight until you make it necessary. I love fight threads, though.
MAGIC: Sure, let's just talk it out first though, especially if it's anything more than something like your basic elemental attack.
DEBATE: Can argue for days. Will argue for days. May also get tired of you and walk off mid-sentence, or pick the same discussion back up right where you left off 3 months ago.
OTHER / NOTES: Nothing as of yet, will update as necessary!
